Steven J. Glaros

Steven J. Glaros

FAMILY LAW, PERSONAL INJURY

Steven grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Southeastern Louisiana University, where he graduated Cum Laude and received the Roy E. Hyde Award for Top Graduate in Major. Steven J. Glaros attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he received his Juris Doctor after only two years in the school's accelerated program. While there he participated in the American Bar Association, Moot Court Competition, and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity.

Initially, Steven J. Glaros worked under then-Attorney General Charlie Crist for the State of Florida as an Assistant Attorney General in St. Petersburg, Florida. As an Assistant Attorney General, he researched, drafted pleadings, and litigated thousands of trials. Thereafter, he joined a law firm in Palm Harbor, Florida, as their primary family law associate. While there he managed a high number of primarily family law cases; his emphasis being divorce, child custody, domestic violence injunctions, and dependency.

Steven then became a solo practitioner, where he represented mostly family law matters. His experience includes representation of several divorcing wives of other Family Law attorneys, and he has prevailed in many highly contested custody battles. Steven has completed the Supreme Court of Florida certification course for family law mediators and will soon be a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Family Law Mediator.

In his spare time, Steven has volunteered for a variety of community interest projects. He volunteers at the annual Lawfest Workshop in St. Petersburg providing free legal advice to attendees. Steven volunteers for the guardian ad litem program assisting children within the legal system. He's also hosted benefits for the animals of the Humane Society and, after Hurricane Katrina, he collected and distributed necessary aid to its victims before spending three weeks assisting in the cleanup effort.

She has benefited from numerous leadership, management, and relationship-building courses during her tenure and has been awarded recognition for her performance, collaboration and negotiation skills, and leadership in difficult situations. “Since I was 8 years old, I have always wanted to be an attorney. I’ve always been passionate about helping others, especially those who have a feeling of helplessness. Fighting for other people is in my DNA. I truly believe in seeking justice in ALL circumstances; this means helping people to understand their rights, fighting to ensure those rights are intact, and making sure that the criminal justice system doesn’t overwhelm my clients. I believe that people deserve second chances, that a mistake shouldn’t define anyone, and that a label such as “criminal” shouldn’t become anyone’s identity. Because of this, I work tirelessly to combine compassion, zeal, and integrity in my practice.”
